PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Primary School Teacher (English Specialist) | Santa Cruz de Tenerife | January 2011 – Current

I teach English as a foreign language to primary school children, from year 2 to year 6 as the main school’s specialist, upon succeeding at the 2013 government’s competitive exams. I have also been the bilingual programs coordinator, where natural science is taught in the target language. I have worked in a total of nine schools in the islands of La Palma, La Gomera and Tenerife.

PATANA SCHOOL

I taught French and Spanish as foreign languages from GCSE to A-Levels and I had the opportunity to familiarise with the International Baccalaureate program. I also supervised the progress in the five languages taught in the MFL department.

OUR LADY’S CONVENT HIGH SCHOOL

Head of the Spanish Department | London | September 2005 – July 2010

I taught French and Spanish from year 7 to A Level. I was the Head of the Spanish department for three years and, during this time, I managed to improve students’ results to a 75% A*-C. I was a tutor of different groups and I was one of the pioneers in the use of the Visual Learning Platform. By the end of this stage, I gained an excellent result in my last lesson observation with outstanding features.
